Large Leaf ‘Kin Class

Large Leaf ‘Kin Class (Ages 12 & Up)

Saturday, September 15th @ 2:00-3:30 – $25

These Large Leaf’Kin are a more “grown-up” version of the children’s leaf’kin class. The project is larger, the details are more vivid and the stories are more extravagant! Leaf’Kin are marvelous leafy creatures that capture the spirit of nature.  Each student will impress a real leaf into clay and then transform the clay so it has a face and its own personality.  The instructor will show you how to make a surprised, sleepy, happy, or angry leaf ‘kin.  Each leaf ‘kin will have a hanger glued to the back so you can hang it on a wall.

Clay Projects cannot be taken home that day, as they must be fired at a later date. Instructors will let all students know of the pick up date for their projects.

All materials are included in the cost of the workshop. Please wear comfortable “artist” clothing  (you don’t mind getting dirty because they may get stained with clay, dyes, glazes, paints, or whatever art materials you happen to be working with at the time.)  Also, remember that layers are helpful with heating/air conditioning and time outdoors.

Please arrive at the Terra Studios Gallery at least 15 minutes before your scheduled class time, and check in at the register. Your teacher will meet you in the Gallery.

A minimum of 4 students must be enrolled in this class or the class will be rescheduled.
