We are busy making all the preparations for this weekend’s 8th annual event which features song circles – where groups of musicians perform at acoustic levels all around the beautiful park. It’s like going from one private jam session to another with different musical genres and loads of local musicians in one spot. And this year, we’ve added art vendors. So, now, as you stroll from one musical group to the next, you can also check out an even wider assortment of local art! Of course, we still have over 100 artists’ works in the gallery that you can enjoy. And, the glass artists will be demonstrating the creation of the famous Bluebird of Happiness too. There will also be special performances by TerraNova Tribal Bellydance Company on Saturday, and North Watt will be showing off his awesome stone-balancing skills both days.
We’ll also have the new Art Lab open. Art Lab has bunches of ideas and materials, so you can be creative – no matter what your age. Color, create bugs with pipe-cleaners, make book marks, or dye a silk scarf. Projects range from free to about $20. Art Lab is available through donations, so please give generously.
Again, the dates are Saturday, September 12, noon to 5:00 p.m. AND Sunday, September 13, noon to 5:00 p.m. Hope to see you!
